Comparing and choosing a Hotel in a major capital can be a little confusing with the vast number of hotels available. Many hotels will have similar prices and star ratings, however there are a number of criteria you can use to assist you in your choice.

Compare prices of the hotels in the vacinity of where you would like to stay. Many comparison sites will allow you to sort your Hotel search reseults from lowest to highest in terms of price. Sometimes you may find a good deal when booking close to your arrival date.

Services
Some Hotels will provide services such as bike hire, laundry, parking and money exchange. Consider the services you are likely to require and check against what the Hotels are offering.

Internet access
Internet is almost essential for a business guest. If you require Internet access, check the access method, i.e. wifi or ethernet. If using wifi, ensure they are running a secure wifi network.

Locality
Consider the areas you will be visiting and choose a Hotel in a central location to those places, this can save you in traveling time and money.

Staff
Check that the staff are warm and friendly, a quick phone call to reception can help answer this question. Some Hotels have 24/7 reception which can be useful.

Room service
If you are taking a relaing break you may require room service. Check out their prices and services available.

Recommendations
Word of mouth is very powerful. A recommendation from family or friends can be a great way to discover a Hotel you will enjoy staying at.
